Q.

Do I still need a UserName and Password to sign in?
A. No. To make it easier for you and fellow Members, we have eliminated that part of the registration.

Please note that you must still register to post messages on the Club bulletin board. You will find the REGISTER link at the top right section of any page on the bulletin board.

Q.

My Last Name does not match Club records.
A. Please check your entry for spelling errors. If your name has an apostrophe, hyphen or suffix like Jr. or Sr. you may need to enter it as well. The easiest place to check how your Last Name should appear is on the mailing label of your Club magazine, The History Channel Club.

If you continue to get this error, contact Member Services at 1-877-893-7946 weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central Time. You may also send an e-mail to MemberServices@TheHistoryChannelClub.com.

Q.

My Member Number does not match Club records.
A. Please check your entry for typing errors.

Your 8 digit Member Number appears on your membership card validation sticker, on Club correspondence and on the mailing label of your Club magazine, The History Channel Club. If you recently became a member online, your member number appears at the top of the Welcome to the Club e-mail you received immediately after joining.

When using the Member Number as it appears on the magazine label, do not include the single digit that appears after the space behind the longer series of numbers (e.g., if you were to see 01234567 9, you would not use the 9).

Life Members, make sure you are including enough numbers in the field. If you have a 7-digit number, try adding 0 in front. If you've just become a Life Member (less than 1 month ago) click here.

If you continue to get this error, contact Member Services at 1-877-893-7946 weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central Time. You may also send an e-mail to MemberServices@TheHistoryChannelClub.com.

Q.

I don't have an e-mail address. Can I sign in without one?
A. Your e-mail address is needed for access to the site and will be used only for official The History Channel Club communication. If you do not have an e-mail account, there are many Internet services that offer free web-based e-mail.

Q.

What does "Remember my Sign In information" mean?
A. It is ideal to have the system remember your Member Number, Last Name and e-mail address so that you do not need to sign in each time you visit the site. With this information saved you can go directly to the home page or other bookmarked page. Do not select this option if you are using a public computer or a computer that other individuals routinely use. Please note that you must have Cookies enabled in order for this option to work.

Q.

What is the Terms of Use?
A. We've created these rules and guidelines to protect you and to ensure that using the Club web site and participating in our community is fun and safe for everyone.

Q.

What are cookies?
A. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. Each web site can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a web site to access cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.

Q.

Do I have to have cookies turned on to use the www.TheHistoryChannelClub.com site?
A. To enter the site you can choose to uncheck the "Remember my Sign In information" box and no Cookie will be stored on your hard drive. This will mean that you must sign in every time you visit the site.

You do need to have Per-Session Cookies enabled in order to use the site. These are not stored on your hard drive and exist for only as long as you are using the site. They are what enable us to give you the opportunity to view and change your member record, enter giveaways and other contests and perform other services. If you do have these disabled, you will need to close and
re-open your browser session after you enable them in order to use the site.

Please note that not all browsers allow you to differentiate between Stored Cookies and Per-Session Cookies. If that is the case, you will need to have all Cookies enabled to use the Club site.
